Grapes is a Christian and writes as an act of worship. He is also a Husband, a Father, a reluctant cat Dad, conservationist, purveyor of Dad Jokes but above all, a child of God. The latter is the reason he chose to write under a pseudonym: "It's a metaphor Jesus used to describe those who live in Father God, calling them 'fruit of the true vine'. So it felt right to use 'Grapes', as I want God to get all the glory, not me." he says.
